Camping
Wake up steps from a proper pub
Our 24-pitch campsite sits in the field right behind The Cottage of Content, with the River Avon a short stroll away.
Camping, done the easy way
Everything you need, close at hand
No trekking for miles to find a shop or a shower. At The Cottage of Content, everything you need is on site or a short walk away - including a kitchen serving home-cooked food and a bar pulling proper real ales.
We have 24 pitches with electric hook-up, hot showers and a wash-up area, so whether you're in a tent, a campervan or a caravan you're covered. Dogs are welcome throughout, and there's plenty to keep the children busy too.
Stay a night, a weekend or a week. Longer stays and group bookings are no trouble at all - give us a ring and we'll sort it between us.

Twenty minutes by car - the theatre, the Shakespeare houses and the river boats.

The northern edge of the Cotswolds starts just down the road.
Booking
Book your pitch online
Pitches are booked through our online booking system - pick your dates, choose your pitch type, and you're set. Questions about group bookings or longer stays? Give us a call and we'll sort it.
Pitch bookings open in a separate booking system. Table bookings for the pub are handled separately - book a table here.
Camp for the weekend, stay for the festival
Time it right and catch Bartonfest
Every summer we turn the field into a full festival weekend - live bands, an outside bar and food off the trailer, with camping right there so nobody has to drive home.
Pitches for festival weekends go early, so it's worth booking as soon as the dates are announced.
